Prism Professional also offer an upholstery cleaning service. We can clean most fabrics, and our process is similar to that used in our carpet cleaning, although we use various adapted hand tool to protect the upholstery and deep clean in any creases or button areas.

Our Process

This will always be preceded by a free survey and quotation .

Once you have made contact with us we will visit you to give an on site quotation for the cleaning you require. At no point will you be required or expected to agree to the cleaning and you will be left with a written cost estimate for all work discussed. At this stage, we will test your fabrics to ensure correct methods and care are applied.

If you agree to the quotation, you will NOT PAY MORE!

Our cleaning process is then as follows;

1. First we inspect the furniture, assessing it so we can let you know what to expect from the cleaning.

2. We extensively pre-vacuum the item to be cleaned with our hepa filtered vacuum system to ensure that dust and bacterial cannot be released back into the air like standard vacuums do. This prevents re-soiling by airbourne particles.

3. We pre-condition the fabric to let our cleaning agents emulsify the dirt and stains.

4. We use either a hot water extraction or a dry cleaning system to remove spots and dirt from the fibre. (We will discuss the most suited method for your needs on our initial visit).

5. If using the hot water extraction method we follow this with a fresh water rinse and extraction to thouroughly remove soil and moisture. The fresh water rinse prolongs textile life by eliminating residues that will attract dirt and breed micro-organisms

6. If necessary and depending on the absorbency of the fabric cleaned, we will use turbo drying equipment to speed up the drying process.
